This set of 4 mixed media pieces was inspired by the familiar pear, a shape which I often feel is fittingly representative of the female form. Each of these were informed by some of the women I have befriended in life, each with her own gifts. They were also informed, to some degree, by the stages of thinking and being that I myself have cycled through over time. All are carefully layered with unique detail, and offer simple text (as outlined below) to encourage reflection.

"Preparing": I call to the earth
"Recognizing": I know that I am already whole
"Creating": I celebrate myself
"Transcending": One day this light will explode and you will see it everywhere
